 Post subject: 360 reflow preheater

A lot of people use a griddle with screws drilled through it for a preheater. Don't you think a toster oven grate on a griddle would work just as well if not better? People do oven reflows on an oven grate. Also The grate keeps the board level so it won't flex. idk it's just an idea, tell me what you think.

Are you proposing that people should rest the bare motherboard directly on the grate?

Yeah, but I'm talking about a custom bga reflow not an oven reflow.

Yeah, but I'm talking about a custom bga reflow not an oven reflow.


Resting the motherboard directly on the grate is a terrible idea. There are components below the board.

It won't damage it as long as you don't rest it on the ram or anything
